A common question real estate agents everywhere hear is “How long will it take my home to sell?” The answer to this question varies by many factors such as the location of the home, the condition of the home, the layout of the home, etc. However, one of the biggest generic factors that influence days on the market – otherwise known as DOM – is the price point of the home. Though there are exceptions, in general, the more expensive the home, the longer the DOM it has.

DOM stands for Days on Market and only includes the information for the current listing of the property in the MLS. CDOM stands for Cumulative Days on Market. It represents all MLS listing activity for a specific property (including past sales).
SP/OLP% stands for sales price vs. the original list price for the most recent listing and sale of the property. If a home was initially listed for $100,000 and sold for $99,000, then the SP/OLP% would be 99%.
